CALGARY - A fourth man has been arrested and charged in relation to a major weapons seizure in Calgary earlier this year, police said this morning.
Officials say Christian Jon Navos, 21, of Calgary, turned himself in on Sunday. Navos has been charged with multiple firearms-related offences.
Navos' charges stem from an April 1 seizure of a number of weapons from a vehicle in Carburn Park. Police searched the vehicle after patrol officers noticed five people acting suspiciously in the park. Two of the five were arrested on outstanding warrants at the scene after being identified by the city's gang unit, and police found the vehicle - belonging to one of the men - nearby.
Calgary Police Inspector Richard Hinse holds a restricted Heckler and Koch 93 assault weapon which sells for about $3000 during a press conference Friday April 3 at police headquarters. The weapon is part of a haul of guns, ammunition, body armour and a "kill kit" seized from known gang members in a city park recently.

Police recovered, among other items, an HK assault rifle, two sawed-off shotguns, two handguns and four sets of body armour. All of the weapons were loaded.
Dang (Danny) Nguyen, 23, of Calgary, was charged immediately after the seizure. Two more men, Wayne Ha and Zachary Megid Miraback, were charged last month.
