STONY PLAIN - A provincial court judge has put over the sentencing of disgraced former teacher Brian Douglas Nickel.

Judge Al Nemirsky is expected to sentence Nickel on Nov. 9, after hearing more sentencing arguments Tuesday afternoon.

Nickel, 45 and a former teacher at St. Marguerite Catholic School in the Evergreen Catholic division, pleaded guilty this summer to sexual interference, making child pornography, and two counts of possession of child pornography. He also filmed the legs and groins of female students using a camera in his classroom desk.

Nickel's defence lawyer, Dino McLaughlin, called for a 30-month sentence.
